This policy applies to all users of the WebPart Studio app available through the Microsoft commercial marketplace. It explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

WebPart Studio operates entirely within Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environments. We do not collect personal information directly from you outside these platforms.

When you use the Check for Updates feature, WebPart Studio sends minimal tenant information (such as tenant ID and app version) to our licensing service. This information is used solely to verify licensing and ensure you're running the latest version. No personal user data is collected or stored during this process.

How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Verify licensing and subscription validity
• Confirm your app is up to date
• Maintain and improve app reliability and security

We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

Data Storage & Retention

• WebPart Studio does not store customer files, content, or personal data outside of SharePoint or Teams.
• Tenant information used for licensing checks is transmitted securely and is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the service.
• Microsoft remains the data processor for all content stored within SharePoint and Teams.

Sharing Information

WebPart Studio does not share your personal data with third parties, except:

• As required by law or legal obligation
• As part of Microsoft's standard services (for example, telemetry or diagnostics handled by Microsoft)

We do not sell or rent information to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Security

We rely on Microsoft's enterprise-grade security, encryption, and compliance framework (including certifications such as GDPR, ISO, and SOC).

• WebPart Studio does not move your data outside of Microsoft 365.
• Tenant licensing information is transmitted securely using encrypted channels.

Your Rights

Because WebPart Studio runs within Microsoft 365, you can manage and delete personal information at any time through your Microsoft account and SharePoint settings.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations, including the right to:

• Access information about how WebPart Studio uses your data
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data (where applicable)
• Restrict or object to certain types of processing
